Bautista's 24 points and 9 assists give him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

23-year old point guard Richard Bautista (187-PG-97) put on an amazing game in the last round for Huellas and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
He had the game-high 24 points adding five rebounds and nine assists for Huellas in his team's victory, helping them to beat Los Prados (#7, 0-3), the league's bottom-ranked team 90-82. Thanks to this victory Huellas moved-up to the 4th position in Dominican Rep. league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Huellas will need more victories to improve their 2-1 record. In the team's last game Bautista had a remarkable three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Huellas' top player in his first season with the team. Bautista has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (8th best: 18.3ppg), assists (2nd best: 6.3apg) and averages solid 59.1% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Ramon Galloway (190-G-91) of Bameso. He is American guard in his first season at Bameso. In the last game Galloway recorded impressive 28 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course Bameso cruised to a 70-63 relatively comfortable win over San Carlos (0-3). The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Galloway is one of the most experienced players at Bameso and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.3ppg (#3).

Third place about best performers goes to Paris Bass (203-SF-95) of Barias (#3). Bass scored 26 points and grabbed twenty rebounds (!!!). Despite Bass' great performance Barias lost 73-74 to #2 ranked San Lazaro. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Barias needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 2 victories and 1 lost game. Bass has a great season in Dominican Republic. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 26.3ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 13.3rpg (3rd best).
